Raleigh, N.C. — Vincent Martin Briscoe, 36, of 5213 Wallingford in Raleigh, is facing second-degree kidnapping and extortion charges.
Briscoe threatened Flavio Lobianco Lubrano, of Yadkinville, on March 8 by telling him that he would take him to jail unless he was paid $500, according to the arrest warrant. Lubrano was not injured.
Briscoe was arrested on April 9.
A spokesperson for Briscoe said Sunday that the charges are slander and that Lubrano is attempting to regain control over his wife and son who have been in Briscoe's care.
