Six arrested in Nash County drug bust

The Nash County Sheriff's Office arrested six people in a drug bust late this week.

Spokeswoman Pat Joyner said that the suspects were arrested after an eight-month undercover operation targeting street-level drug operations.

James Hinnant, 61, of Bowden Road in Spring Hope, was charged with four counts of trafficking in opium, two counts of maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance and one count each of selling or delivering opium and possession with intent to sell or deliver opium.

He was placed in the Nash County jail under a $100,000 secured bond.

Also charged were:

  • Christy Bolin, 25, of West Hornes Church Road in Bailey — possession with intent to sell or distribute Clonazepam pills, selling or delivering Clonazepam pills and maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance; $2,000 secured bond
  • Lindsey Lassiter, 25, of N.C. 231 in Middlesex — possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana, felony possession of marijuana and maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance; $10,000 unsecured bond
  • Angela Poland, 27, of N.C. 231 in Middlesex — possession with intent to sell or distribute cocaine and selling or delivering cocaine; released on a written promise to appear in court
  • Michael O'Neal, 21, of Wilson County — possession with intent to sell or distribute opium and conspiracy to sell opium; released on a written promise to appear in court
  • Annin Prince, 20, of Rose Loop Road in Nashville — selling and delivering opium; $5,000 secured bond

All the suspects, except Prince, were arrested Thursday and had a first court appearance on Friday. Prince was arrested Friday, and his first court appearance was set for Tuesday.
