Mills re-elected mayor of Scotland Neck

Scotland Neck, N.C. — Scotland Neck’s mayor has earned another term. Incumbent James Mills edged challenger Raymond Watson by 11 votes, according to the Halifax County Board of Elections.

The board certified Mills’ victory Tuesday.

Voters in Scotland Neck returned to the polls March 16 after results of the November election were invalidated.

Mills won in November by one vote, but both men claimed that provisional ballots were accepted from voters who didn't live in the town. The State Board of Elections ordered the second election.

I may be incorrect but didn't Ferd Harrison hold several terms as Mayor of Scotland Neck while he actually lived in Scotland Neck.

Well to celebrate his re election the Mayor was arrested for an outstanding warrant a few days ago. The outstanding warrant and his drivers license show he lives in Rocky Mount...most of us have known this for sometime This guy is so slimey he makes Marion Barry look like a beginner. What I can't figure out is what is so valuable in Scotland Neck that criminals want to waste their time in the government?
