Three men face murder charges in the death of a man shot during a home invasion early Tuesday, according to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff Pat Green said that several men armed with a shotgun and handgun broke into a home at 40 Bailey's Drive, southeast of Kittrell, and tried to rob Anthony Perry, 31. Perry was shot once with the handgun, killing him.

Green said preliminary indications are that Taron Reed, 19, of 212 Noblin Road in Oxford, was the shooter. Reed was injured by bird shot and was treated and released from Duke University Hospital.

Along with Reed, Denalle Anderson, 22, of 119 Rectory St. in Oxford, and Damian Evans, 17, of 205 Railroad Ave. in Oxford, face charges of first-degree murder, first-degree burglary and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

They were all being held in the Franklin County Jail Friday without bond.

Green said that Perry's home has been robbed before, and investigators believe that the suspects were trying to steal marijuana.

Anderson was released in prison in April 2009 after serving a six-month sentence for violating his probation for drug-dealing convictions, according to state Department of Correction records.

..."There seems to be a really big elephant with baggy pants hanging down around it's waist but be careful what you say!"...exactly...what we all know but cannot say for fear of breaking the P.C. code and having our comment evaporate into the void...

I guess this one of those famous "drug steals gone bad".

Theres only one thing these malcontents understand.. Give them a fair trial, if found guilty, run the appeals process. If still found guilty, they face a firing squad. Publicize it. Let everyone know ,, if you ki// someone, justice will be swift.

jackieflash - yep, and its getting really old....

Wow, two stories of home invasions with multiple suspects in each. Anyone see a common denominator here? There seems to be a really big elephant with baggy pants hanging down around it's waist but be careful what you say!
