Camp Lejeune, N.C. — A Camp Lejeune Marine died Tuesday from wounds sustained earlier this month in Afghanistan.
Robert L. Gilbert II, 28, of Richfield, Ohio, was injured while conducting combat operations in the Badghis province on March 8.
Gilbert was assigned to the 2nd Marine Special Operations Battalion, Marine Special Operations Regiment, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command.
