Pair charged with selling knock-off goods

Garner, N.C. — Garner police arrested two men Thursday on charges of selling counterfeit shoes, clothing and handbags.

Erron Dell Walker, 27, and Eric Dell Walker, 47, both of 1101 Curtiss Drive in Garner, were charged with four counts each of criminal use of a counterfeit trademark. Erron Walker also was charged with possession of alcohol without a permit.

The arrests follow an investigation that started in December, when police found a large quantity of liquor in a storage unit on U.S. Highway 70 being used by Erron Walker, police said. A search of the unit also turned up various items bearing Nike, Timberland, Coach, Prada, Chanel and other labels.

Agents with the Anti-Counterfeiting Task Force in the North Carolina Secretary of State's Office were called in to identify what items were knock-offs.

Police on Thursday searched the Walkers' home, another residence at 5745 Jones Sausage Road and the EZ Jeans store, at 1807 Garner Road, that the Walkers operate. Additional counterfeit merchandise, cash, stolen firearms and other items were seized in the searches, police said, and additional charges are expected against the men.

I don’t see the problem, you know it's fake, 100% of the time you can touch it and tell its fake, the other 100% the price tells you it's a fake.

On the other hand, why are the police wasting tax payer money chasing fake clothes, I don't see them in CVS, Walgreen’s, or any other drug store taking all the generic drugs, if they did that I am sure the drug companies would be happy, but it would sure make some consumers very upset..

Just my thought for the day...

Really, I am not about to pay the price of a real nike shoe so if I buy a knock-off because I want to, what's the big deal. Don't we have some "real" crimes to solve ??

Okay...first of all why would you go and do the same thing again that you were already arrested for back in September? Thats not being very smart or did you not learn your lesson? Secondly, they should distribute the clothes and goods to the homeless but I think they will either burn the stuff or send it overseas....now thats a shame!
