Raleigh, N.C. — A Thursday morning fire destroyed two units in a north Raleigh apartment building, but no one was injured, authorities said.

Fire broke out at Montecito Apartments, 3806 Colby Drive, shortly before 11 a.m., and firefighters had the blaze under control within 20 minutes, said Bert Richards, division chief with the Raleigh Fire Department.

The cause of the fire hasn't been determined, but Richard said it appears to be an accident. It started in a ground-floor apartment and spread to one above it, he said.

Two people were taken to Duke Raleigh Hospital as a precaution, Richards said.

Four people were displaced by the fire, and officials said they would be able to move into other apartments in the complex.
