Raleigh man facing child sex charges

Raleigh, N.C. — A Raleigh man is accused of taking indecent liberties with a child.

Police on Tuesday arrested Michael William Graf, 63, of 3739 Hillcrest Road, and charged him with three counts of first-degree sex offense with a child.

According to his arrest warrant, Graf engaged in illegal contact with an 11-year-old and took inappropriate photos of the child.

Graf was being held Wednesday in the Wake County jail under $5 million bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Thursday.

For all the geniuses saying that white males are doing all of the kid touching... may I remind you of the story of the young black man who raped and killed a 5-year-old a month or so ago.

Keep in mind that a bond is not a punishment, but rather insurance that the perp will show up in court. The judge takes into account flight risk and danger to society. Shania (sp?) Davis' mom is only a danger to people who are her daughters, wheras this guy was deemed a danger to every child. I agree, it doesn't seem fair, but punishment comes after the trial and conviction.

This is a guy who needs to be in jail for the rest of his life rather than released after 5 years with a stern warning to stay away from schools, churches, synagoues, et al."

AMEN, AND AMEN!!!

They can never change; they can't be rehabilitated - California tried that, it didn't work.

Therefore, they should be in a place where they are forever removed from society, so children can REALLY be protected from them.
