Boy hit by car in Cary

An 11-year-old boy was hit by a car in the Preston Village area of Cary just after 5 p.m. Wednesday, town spokeswoman Susan Moran said.

The child was riding his bike when a neighbor hit him. He suffered minor injuries and was being transported to a nearby hospital.

Moran said police did not expect to file charges against the driver.
