Cary, N.C. — Crews began work Monday on the final phase of the Morrisville Parkway Extension, which will eventually connect Davis Drive to N.C. Highway 55.
Cary officials said drivers can expect some delays. Road work done by contractor CC Mangum Co. LLC will take place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays.
“Outside of temporary single lane closures, we expect minimal impact with the existing roadways in the area. As a precaution and to help local businesses and residents, message boards will be placed along the roadway to alert drivers,” Cary engineer and project manager Eric Simpson said in a statement.
Work on the $6 million project is expected to be finished by the end of the year.
