the accused takes time to get to know the minor, long conversations, sometimes sending a gift to the minor. Then they take it to the next level and then get the minor to agree to hook up with the pervert.

If you son or daughter has unlimited access to any computer, they may be at risk. Keep the pc or mac in open access area of your home. check the logs, avoid those social network sites, you know what they are.

And NO WEB CAMERA on you kid's computer, NEVER EVER!

We will never know how many kids are victims of these perverts.

Many are classified as troubled teens, runaways, etc, when the reality is they were victims of perverts like the accused.

He could have stopped talking to the "girl", but he clearly kept going back for more. The "to catch a predator" show takes much longer than the one hour it's on TV. Those also can take weeks or months.

You would think after To catch a predator came out for CNN with Chris Hansen people would no longer be using the chat to try and talk to minors
