e-mail print friendly

A 2-year-old boy was injured after falling from the second-floor of an apartment building in Cary on Tuesday afternoon, according to town officials.

Authorities said the child was jumping on a sofa when he fell through the screen door and out of an apartment window at 1011 Village Greenway. He fell head-first 14 feet onto the concrete patio of a lower apartment.

The boy suffered facial and head trauma and was taken to WakeMed for treatment.

Adults were home at the time the boy fell, town officials said.

You must not have kids or you must be perfect. Kids get into scrapes and have bumps and bruises. It is part of growing up. You just hope that your kid is lucky enough not to get seriously hurt but it is all a luck of the draw.

Stop being so daggummed judgmental.

Desiderata, So, if you have children, then you know that it takes only a few seconds for them to get into trouble. So, while investigation may find this to be a neglect case, it is not one automatically.

If you do not have kids, don't judge. It is SOOOOOOO easy for them to slip out of sight. I mean a stay at home parent has gotta pee ever now and then. :-)

The family needs to be aware that the NEGLECTED their child and be held accountable for it..we all know kids need to be watched..how stupid are these people???????????? Who is footing the bill for their mistake...HMMMMMMMMMM shall I guess ??????

Praying that he is okay.. I have a 2 year boy and they are so wild and all over the place. You have watch you children.

ProzacDispenser: Why is this news??? Hmm.. Maybe to prevent further accidents.

Prayers to the child and family. May he have a speedy recovery.
