Durham man, 20, sought on break-in charges

Durham, N.C. — Durham police are trying to find Joshuia Raie-Shawn Waddell, 20, who is wanted on break-in charges.

Authorities charged Waddell, of South Alston Avenue, with breaking into homes on Autumn Drive, Amberwood Drive and West Murray Avenue in January and February.

He is accused of stealing laptop computers, television sets, a camera, jewelry and watches.

Anyone with information on Waddell’s whereabouts is asked to call Investigator Carnevale at 919-560-4582, ext. 29239 or Crime Stoppers at 683-1200.

I guess judges, lawyers, probation officers, etc. are worried they'll be out of work if they keep them locked up. There's also the extreme liberals who feel everyone deserves chance after chance after chance. Education should be a mandatory part of incarceration since it's insanity to expect criminals to just find a new profession after their release. We also need alternative punishments since we think it's possible for prison/jail to be overcrowded. Public humiliation, caning/whippings, litter removal, grounds maintenance, etc. should be used for non-violent offenses. Lastly, incarceration should mean 1 meal a day and only books as a means of entertainment.
