Durham, N.C. — Part of N.C. Highway 55 was closed Wednesday morning after a wreck left the area covered in hardwood flooring, police said.
The wreck occurred at about 8:40 a.m. near the entrance ramp to Interstate 40. A tractor-trailer and a 22-foot box truck collided, and the box truck overturned, spilling its load of flooring on the highway, police said.
At least one person was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries that police said didn't appear to be life-threatening.
N.C. 55 was closed until shortly after 11 a.m.
