Site SearchFayetteville, N.C. — Fayetteville police said that a 34-year-old Hope Mills man died Friday evening when another vehicle veered across Owen Drive and struck his moped.
Police said that around 6 p.m., a Ford vehicle pulled out of the parking lot of a Wilco gas station into the 2800 block of Owen Drive, striking another vehicle. The Ford veered across the road, struck a second vehicle and kept going until it hit the moped.
The moped driver, Kevin Sears, was killed, police said.
There was no word Saturday on whether charges will be filed in the wreck.
