Cary, N.C. — A man was robbed while walking home from a bar in Cary early Sunday, police said.

A man approached the victim along Waco Street, off Southeast Maynard Road and Chatham Street, shortly before 5 a.m. The man grabbed the victim by the neck and demanded money, police said. He took cash from the victim's wallet, dropped the wallet and then fled.

Police said the victim was unharmed.

Officers caught a suspect, whose name wasn't released, a block from the crime scene and were questioning him.

Police said they believe this robbery was an isolated incident. The suspect had moved to the area on Wednesday, they said.
