Raleigh, N.C. — Crews worked overnight in Raleigh and Garner to repair water-main breaks.
In Raleigh, a 6-inch water main broke along Anderson Drive. It was likely caused by a swing in the temperature, said Andy Broden, water distribution superintendent for Raleigh's Public Utilities Department.
In Garner, an aging water main broke at November and Atkinson streets, off N.C. Highway 50, Broden said. Garner is on the Raleigh water system.
Broden said that both breaks have been repaired and water service restored. Crews should be clearing out of neighborhoods, and streets re-opened, he said.
