Kannapolis, N.C. — Two men from a nursing home were killed when a train struck them in Kannapolis on Friday, officials said.
The crash happened near the intersection of East 18th Street and North Main Street around 6 p.m., WBTV reported.
An Amtrak spokeswoman told WBTV the train left Charlotte and was headed to Raleigh at the time of the wreck.
There were 100 passengers on board, but none of the passengers were killed. The men were from Britthaven Nursing Home.
