Raleigh, N.C. — A fugitive from Kentucky made his first appearance in a Wake County court Friday.
Matthew Farrington is accused of deserting the military while serving in Kentucky.
Farrington waived extradition, clearing the way for authorities to pick him up in Raleigh. Until that time, he will be held without bond.
