Statesville, N.C. — A woman shot and killed her boyfriend Thursday morning in Iredell County, the sheriff's office there said.
Cheryl Dhonyale Davis, 41, of 134 Bostian Lake Road, Apt. 5, called 911 Thursday morning to report a gunshot. When deputies arrived, they found Davis and Rodney Herron, 47, inside.
Herron was taken to Iredell Memorial Hospital where he died.
Deputies charged Davis with murder. She was being held at the Iredell County Detention facility.
