Raleigh, N.C. — Troopers charged a Wendell woman with reckless driving early Wednesday after she fell asleep and crashed her car in Raleigh.
Janita Byrd-Moody, 37, drove off Barwell Road and hit an embankment near Shirley Street around 12:30 a.m., authorities said.
She was taken to a nearby hospital and was expected to be OK, troopers said. No other information was released.

Uh, why do you get a speeding ticket when you don't hit anybody? She got a ticket because she was driving when she shouldn't have been (too tired) which is reckless. She could have easily hurt or killed someone, and that's why she has been charged (and rightfully so).

Read again, She fell ASLEEP at the WHEEL. Fatigued drivers are "almost" as bad as drunk drivers. She's just lucky she didnt kill anybody.
