A surveillance camera captured these images Tuesday of an alleged bank robber in Durham.

Police officers from Durham and Burlington were working together Tuesday afternoon after the same man appeared to have been captured on surveillance cameras robbing banks in both places.

Durham police said the suspect entered the SunTrust bank, at 1516 North Gregson St., around 11:30 a.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money. He did not display a weapon.

In Burlington, a man robbed the Capital Bank at 503 Huffman Mill Road just before 1 p.m., police there said.

Surveillance images from both robberies show a white man in his 30s or 40s with a medium build and a mustache and beard. He is wearing sunglasses, a green baseball cap, a black and red jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about the man's identity is asked to call the Durham Police Department at 919-560-4582, ext. 29248, Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200, the FBI at 919-233-7701 or the N.C. Bankers’ Association hot line at 800-209-2293.

The bankers association offers a reward for information leading to the arrest and indictment of anyone robbing a bank in North Carolina.

I never understood why someone would rob a bank. Especially if you're in it for the money, the bank is one of the worst choices.

Jay was driving the getaway car.

The bank was allegedly robbed by the alleged robber? I am conufused. So the bank was robbed by Silent Bob allegedly?

The film industry must be really suffering for Silent Bob to stoop to this.
