Rocky Mount police were looking for three men involved in the shooting of a man who was walking Windsor Drive early Saturday.

Police said Brian Nicholas Thorne, 25, was in the 1600 block of Windsor Drive, near Marlee Drive, when a car occupied by three men pulled up beside him. Two men got out of the car and shot him, police said.

Officers found Thorne lying in the grass suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Pitt Memorial Hospital, where he was in critical condition Saturday.

Police described the shooters' vehicle as a gray, silver or light blue, 1990s-model, 4-door Toyota Corolla.

Investigators did not have a description of the suspects or a motive Saturday afternoon.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Rocky Mount Police Department at 252-972-1411, or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 252-977-1111.
