Goldsboro, N.C. — A Goldsboro woman is accused of stealing checks and writing them against the account of an Air Force service member who was overseas, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
Melissa Shannon Garcia, 37, of 237 Kingdom Lane, was arrested Friday on two counts each of forgery, uttering a forged instrument and obtaining property by false pretenses.
Garcia was being held in the Wayne County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.
