Site SearchMorrisville, N.C. — Officials at Raleigh-Durham International Airport are looking forward to a robust holiday travel season after slower traffic through the first three quarters of the year, Airport Director John Brantley said Thursday.
Traffic through the airport is off about 9 percent for the year to date, a reflection of the economy overall, Brantley said.
While air travel is down, parking and rental cars have been a positive indicator, Brantley said.
He told the airport's Board of Directors that he expected to see travel growth return to RDU by autumn of 2010.
