Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office investigators have arrested three Fayetteville residents in connection with two school break-ins.

Joseph Rene Rault Jr., 18, and Jeremy Wellington Cox, 19, both of 2603 Dumbarton Road, and Steven Nicolas Taylor, 16, of 3632 Shem Creek Drive, were charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and possession of stolen goods.

Investigators said the trio broke out windows in temporary classrooms at Sherwood Park Elementary School on Hope Mills Road on Monday and stole a projector, a laptop computer, a PlayStation console, a television, a microwave, a radio and a small refrigerator.

The three also burglarized a concession stand at Grays Creek High School on Tuesday by breaking through the ceiling of a nearby bathroom and taking sodas, candy and meat products, authorities said. The stolen items were discovered in a vehicle in which the three suspects were riding, authorities said.
