A Fayetteville man sought in connection with a domestic dispute where the victim was brutally beaten with a blunt object and left for dead has been found, according to the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force.

Mario Robinson, 29, was arrested at 305 Lynn Avenue in Fayetteville on Monday morning. Robinson was arrested by authorities, who were performing surveillance on the home. They searched the residence and found him hiding in a rear bedroom.

Robinson was being held at Cumberland County jail Monday. He is charged with attempted first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

The charges stem from an Aug. 17 incident at a home in the 1800 block of Overlook Drive.

Authorities said Robinson hit a woman in the face with a blunt object during an argument at the home. Police said he left the victim unconscious and bleeding in the residence.

Robinson had just been released from Cumberland County jail the morning of the beating. He had been arrested for an assault on a woman.

There are 3 easy steps to dael with a person like this: 1 insert inmate 2 close cell door 3 lose key.

Done!

We can't afford to keep prisoners like this behind bars for 50 years unless we change the prison conditions. I say pack them in like rabbits with 1 meal a day and little else. Of course the bleeding hearts say they still have rights even though they didn't honor the rights of their victims. I wish the victim in this case would have snuffed out this perp. She would have gotten off since it would have been self defense.

Wonder if it was the same woman he was in jail for beating on? About 50 years in prison would do him some good.

Unless people like this are kept behind bars, they will continue to commit more crimes.
