Enfield, N.C. — A Halifax County deputy arrested a Maryland fugitive on Monday who was wanted by Baltimore police on armed robbery charges.
Deputy R.D. Bozard stopped a Ford van for a traffic violation in Enfield and arrested the driver, Christopher Marquette Pittman, 33, for driving with a revoked license, authorities said.
Bozard investigated and discovered that Pittman was wanted in Maryland. Pittman has been living at 206 South St. in Whitakers, authorities said.
He was placed in jail under a $25,500 bond.
