Two University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill students were struck by a tree on campus Monday, campus police said.

The tree fell just before 2 p.m. off of South Columbia Street.

Both students were believed to have non-life-threatening injuries, said Randy Young, of the UNC Police Department.

One student was treated and released at the scene. The other student was transported to a nearby hospital.

the tree should be charged with "leafing" the scene of an accident.

The DMV truly will give anyone a license these days.

I'm serious professor....this tree attacked me and that's why I'm late and look...it messed up my class work too....!!!!

The tree should have been tasered to stop the non-compliant behavior. Was it an oak tree? Could have tasered the tree in the acorns.

hope it had insurance and a valid license
