Man accused of stealing Maserati from Raleigh dealership

A Bunn man is accused of stealing a Maserati from a Raleigh car dealership.

Dallas Fitzgerald Neal, 25, of 242 Gus McGhee Road, is accused of taking the 2008 Maserati from a dealership at 4800 Capital Blvd. on Sept. 13.

The car is worth $110,000, according to the arrest warrant.

Neal was arrested Sept. 16 in Fayetteville. He was charged with felony larceny and posted $10,000 bond.

What's sad is I actually personally know this guy. Never would have thought of him doing something like this though. Sounds weird that he had the car for 3 days AND posted a $10,000 bond himself.

This is a misunderstanding? He had the car for 3 days? He had a key? He picked it up on a Sunday? He posted a bond of 10,000 himself?

I hope he at least had the sense to get pics taken leaning back against it with a muscle shirt and cut off jean shorts. Gotta have that personal ad shot, don't'cha know. =)

If the care was worth that much, wouldn't he have been charged with Grand Theft Auto?
