McDonald's on Lake Boone Trail robbed

Raleigh, N.C. — Raleigh police said that a McDonald's restaurant in the 3800 block of Lake Boone Trail was robbed around 5 a.m. Monday.

No one was injured.

Officers remained at the scene about four hours later. So far, no arrests have been made.

I usually stop there for breakfast and they had the entire bldg and parking lot roped off at 7:30am. I went there at 8:45am for breakfast when it was reopened and the employees were pretty calm about it. They were happy no one was hurt. I have been working by this restaurant for 8+ years and this is a first.

This just goes to show everyone exactly how bad times are getting! Everyone seems to be making a joke of it but you can bet the employees who were there at the time of the robbery don't feel much like laughing! Thank goodness no one was hurt.
