Raleigh, N.C. — An alleged drunken driver hit and killed a pedestrian late Friday at Garner and Tryon roads in Raleigh, authorities said.
A vehicle driven by John Owen Bradley Jr., 39, of 3778 Burtons Barn St. in Raleigh, struck Edward Rayfield Simmons at about 11 p.m., authorities said.
Simmons, 66, of 326 N. Pettigrew St. in Raleigh was killed, authorities said.
Bradley was charged with DWI and possession of an open container, authorities said. He is out of jail on bond.
