Brittany Reuben, charged in fatal wreck on Raleigh Blvd.

Police charged a woman in an overnight wreck that killed a 20-year-old woman along Raleigh Boulevard Thursday evening.

Tiara Vongel Brand was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe north on Raleigh Boulevard, near Millburnie Road, shortly before 9 p.m. A southbound Lexus, driven by Brittany Antquinique Reuben, turned in front of the Tahoe and struck it, police said. The SUV overturned, and Brand was thrown from it.

Brand was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police charged Reuben, 24, with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and unsafe movement.

Alcohol and speed were not factors in the wreck, police said.

Why should she get more time in jail??? She is not a criminal, no DWI'S or DUI's, why waste tax payer's money? Maybe she was careless, did you ever turn on the radio or change the station, or talk on cell phone, (not saying that she did any of that), but my point is that it was an accident, misjudgment, mis calculation?? It was an accident, not intentional-maybe time for unsafe movement. It is a shame it caused a fatality and we need to pray for everyone.

Thanks Perdue, she will only get 2 months in jail! wtg.

So sad. Continue to pray for our careless young people that they will listen.

I see people pull out in front of on-coming traffic all the time and it amazes me that they don't get smucked when they do it.

Check the cell / text records and make sure it's not a phone related death. Sounds like something is off.
