Raleigh, N.C. — A Meredith College committee has identified 11 majors with low enrollment at the private women's college, according to spokeswoman Melyssa Allen.
This summer, a committee studied several years worth of data to find academic programs with either low or high numbers of enrollment and graduates.
The 11 majors with under-enrollment include religion, women's studies, economics, music, dance, theater and computer science.
Allen said officials are considering dropping some of the majors, but the no final decisions have been made. Any changes would not affect students who have declared their major this school year.
Meredith offers more than 45 majors and concentrations and enrolls about 2,200 students.
