Clinton police are looking for the man they suspect fired shots Saturday night outside a Clayton fitness center.

Kenneth Aubrey Reed, 18, is wanted on charges of felonious assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious bodily injury. Police described Reed as a black man, 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds with a light complexion. His last known residence is 307 Wren Lane.

Police responded to Clayton Fitness, 1333 Mechanical Drive, at about 11 p.m. Saturday to find shell casings and a car damaged by a bullet. Witnesses said the center had been the site of a private party earlier in the evening.

Shortly after the shooting was reported, Clayton Area EMS was called to 312 E. Hinton St. where Nathaniel Douglas Liles Jr., 19, was found with a gunshot wound in his leg.

Liles, of 444 E. Front St., told paramedics that he had been shot outside the fitness center.

Police ask that anyone with information about Reed's whereabouts call 919-553-4611 or Clayton Crime Stoppers at 919-359-8479. A cash reward is available for information that leads to an arrest. Callers may remain confidential.

Police warn that Reed should be considered armed and dangerous.
