Dunn, N.C. — A 63-year-old Harnett County man who authorities said has been flashing people for years was arrested last week after allegedly exposing himself to people in a passing car.

John Edward "Eddie" Moore, of 114 Troy Parker Road in Dunn, was charged with two counts of indecent exposure.

An Erwin woman told authorities Moore exposed himself to her as she drove on U.S. Highway 301 in Dunn last Tuesday. She had two girls, ages 5 and 11, in the car at the time, according to authorities.

Authorities said Moore has been arrested three previous times on indecent exposure charges – twice in 2002 and once last year.

I have seen this man for years when I am going by his house to visit my friends stand outside with his thong on and shake everything he has everytime I go by with my kids (one being a teenager girl). My friend has been subjected to many times of his flashing and showing his gentials and they have never done anything about this. It took her son seeing him walking down the road completely naked (not even near his house where he knew we would see him) by their house for something to be done. I am sorry if he has mental problems but that does not mean I have to tolerate this when I am visiting friends. If all he did was just stand in his yard I would not have a problem. But he does other disgusting things that make this a problem.

There is something that this article does not say... I don't know him personally but I know some people who do know him. He has mental problems. Not trying to be funny but he really has some kind of illness. This is why he's been out there for years. I live in benson and travel to dunn almost 3 times a week and ive seen him hundreds of times.

I am very glad he has been arrested. For those who say he didn't do anything wrong, please read the story. He "exposed" (bare; uncovered, out) himself to this woman and her children AND has been doing it for years. It doesn't matter where he was, it's the fact that he exposed himself that is at issue.

keepitsimple, um, yes women have been arrested for indecent exposure, I've seen it and I've called security. As for this man, ok, drivers are to keep their eyes on the road but what about the passengers??? HELLO! I would call the police too even if I didn't have children with me. It's a scary thing to see something like that. The problem is not about him wearing a thong, it's about him pulling his junk out and showing it to passing cars. And you think that's ok? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE WHO THINK THIS MAN ISN'T DOING ANYTHING WRONG?

ghimmy - WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?! You think it's not that big of a deal for a 61 year old to show his junk to an 11 year old and like it? Something is wrong there.
