Chapel Hill police seek Food Lion thief

e-mail print friendly

Chapel Hill police are asking the public for help in identifying the culprit in a weekend break-in at Food Lion on Weaver Dairy Road. Police released surveillance images Wednesday of the suspect and a vehicle believed to be connected to the crime.

A person smashed a window at the store at about 4 a.m. Saturday, entered the store, filled a trash can with tobacco products and fled.

In the image, the suspect appears to be a black male, possibly bald, 6 feet 2 or 3 inches tall, wearing a green shirt, blue jeans, gloves and white and black shoes. The vehicle pictured appears to be a four-door 1989 or 1990 silver Toyota Corolla 4 door with damage above the front wheel well on the passenger side.

The same person may be responsible to break-ins at three other Food Lion stores, police said. The store at 101 N. Scotswood Blvd. in Hillsborough was robbed July 7; the store at 4621 Hillsborough Road in Durham was robbed Saturday; and the store at 2151 Wilton Ave. in Creedmoor was robbed Sunday.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the Chapel Hill Police Department at 919-968-2760 or Crime Stoppers at 919-942-7515. Calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential and anonymous, and the caller may be eligible for a cash reward up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

And when i say too expensive i mean like 23 quadrillion dollars

LOL see what happens when you make things too expensive? Eh oh well, he'll be dead or dying in 20 years, of which Medicaid will pay for all his smoking-related problems.

Being the crimes took place in lib-Orange County, he'll do little time for it anyways.

Stocking up before the new Perdue tax hike?
