Site SearchDurham, N.C. — A Durham man is facing charges in connection with a robbery and shooting at a Durham Comfort Inn.
Clarence Leon Davis, 20, of West Piedmont Street, was arrested Wednesday on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon inflicting serious injury and felony conspiracy.
The hotel, at 3508 Mount Moriah Road, was robbed at gunpoint at about 5:40 p.m. Monday, police said. An employee was shot in the hip during the robbery and transported to Duke University Hospital for treatment. The victim's name and condition were not released.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
