Red Springs, N.C. — The Hoke County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of an 18-year-old man who was shot while in a moving vehicle early Sunday.
Rey David MiJangos, of Red Springs, was shot once while he was in a moving vehicle at Effie Jane and Blue Springs roads between 4 a.m. and 4:15 a.m.
"Hoke County detectives are investigating what they refer to a senseless murder," Sheriff Hubert A. Peterkin said.
A motive in the murder has not been determined, he said.
