I'm not sure if the child that got shot in the back was involved with the gangs or if he was just out playing basketball on a Saturday afternoon. I don't know him personally, but I can vouch for many of the other children in the neighborhood. They have good, hard-working parents and they were raised right. We have an active community watch, we know our neighbors, we get together for potlucks and other community events, we're just like any other middle class subdivision, but somehow we have a huge problem with gang violence that has been escalating in the past few months. We're putting our house on the market and high-tailing it out of there, but who knows how long it will take for it to sell...

Where did the gun come from? 16 years old and heading to prison. Parents of this child, you are very much responsble. Raise them right and you want have to deal with issues of crimes. Set guideline and rules for your children to follow and stick with them.

They like to hang out at the community park where we take our children (and dogs).

I wish they'd stop shooting each other in my neighborhood.

Some of my neighbors live on that street and were questioned by the RPD. They were told (by the police) that this was a shoot-out between MS-13 and some other gang. I don't know why that isn't being reported by the news unless the cop was mistaken...
