Aberdeen, N.C. — An Aberdeen man died after his pickup truck got into a wreck with a recreational vehicle along N.C. Highway 211 Saturday morning, state troopers said.
State troopers said they believe that Jesus Lopez Reyes, 26, fell asleep at the wheel around 7 a.m. while traveling west near Reservation Road. His pickup crossed the center line and sideswiped an RV.
Reyes died while being transported to Moore Regional Hospital, troopers said. No one else was in the pickup.
Three adults and an infant in the RV weren't injured. The family was traveling from Washington, D.C., to the Blue Ridge Mountains on vacation, troopers said.
