Such a loss.

This is such a huge loss for Wake County schools. My son introduced me to Mr. Johnson while I was attempting to do the "chicken dance" at the 6th grade dance! I was so embarrassed. Mr. Johnson loved his students and it was obvious they loved and respected him. He was truly an amazing person and an inspiration. Thoughts and prayers for the family. We will miss you Mr. Johnson!

While attending a conference a few years back I had the pleasure to meet Mr. Johnson. Few people I have met impressed me the way he did. He had an humble spirit,an inquisitive mind and a respect for his fellow educators. He will be truly missed! To his parents and family I would like to say they I am sorry for your loss however you should stand proud for this fine young man. You parenting showed forth each day in the way he lived his life and how he treated others!

RIP, Mr. Johnson. You didn't live long enough, but I know you made an impact on every young person you came in contact with.

I did not know this young man personally, but did have an opportunity to work with some of his former classmates at Winston Salen State. His dedication and passion for working with young people and helping them strive for excellence will be greatly missed.

May God bring comfort to his family and friends during this difficult time.
