A woman using the ATM machine at the State Employees Credit Union at 2401 Blue Ridge Road was robbed Monday afternoon, police said.

A suspect, implying he had a weapon, threw the victim to the ground and stole her purse at about 1:30 p.m., according to police. A witness saw the suspect flee in a waiting vehicle.

At about 4 p.m., another woman was using the ATM machine at the State Employees Credit Union, at 7447 Six Forks Road, when a suspect approached and robbed her, police said. The suspect again fled in a waiting vehicle.

Officers said they spotted the vehicle about 10 minutes later and arrest two suspects: Stanley Reed II, 18, and Leonard Walker Jr., 24, both of Woodbend Drive in Raleigh.

The victims were not seriously injured.

I'm with Ambergail... good job, police.

this is a good argument FOR concealed handguns for ALL law abiding citizens... (jrivas said)

Umm, doesn't that also apply to all non-law abiding citizens with no criminal record?

Just curious, you know.

AAAARGH!!!

When will you people learn??

The abbrevitation "ATM" stands for "Automatic Teller MACHINE".

And you are infuriatingly redundant when you post or speak the words Montana to host an amateur lying contest: "No lawyers, politicians, patent medicine salesmen or motivational speakers need apply"

What you are saying is:

"Automatic Teller Machine Machine"

Then again, maybe you work for the Department of Redundancy Department...?

"ATM Machine"

"I'm sure these two young men have learned their lesson. Now when our court system puts them back on the street through posting a low bail or probation if convicted they will have learned not to leave witnesses that can identify the get away car. And then they will have graduated to higher level of crime. Ain't it wonderful how the system educates young minds these days. Just too bad it's the court system rather than the school system."

Correct, next time they will be sure to kill the victim as to leave no witnesses and also be able to take their purses and other belongings before dumping the body.
