Raleigh police arrested a North Carolina State University student last week who was accused of creating a "monster" out of construction barrels and placing it on the side of the road.

Authorities charged Joseph Carnevale with larceny for taking materials from a construction site at a roundabout project to create the monster.

Nice job young man. May we all see more of your art in the near future. :)

This is an interesting art. But do NC really know true are when they see it? This is not New York. lol

Too bad he's a criminal.

He is not a criminal. I have seen worse.

I love to see this kind of clever stuff! Charge him with the cost of the supplies and let him go. As a NCSU Student, this piece of art should take the place of those other twisted metal pieces of trash they have near pullen. Let him go and give him a "slap on the wrist". Spend your police hours on something more important like watching out for students cars that seem to be the main targets of thieves these days.

Heard this story on the radio too this morning...the police found the picture, found a birthday, back tracked that through the entire NCSU student directory which pulled up 6 different students, THEN they went one by one to "pick" this kid. I wish they put that time into finding my friends car...

He should have to pay for the construction materials he stole and that should be the end of it. His art is interesting though and should be left for all of NC to see.
