Garner, N.C. — Johnston County deputies arrested a man after he fled from authorities in a vehicle and crashed near the Wake County line on N.C. Highway 42 early Wednesday.
Deputies arrested Jimmie Wayne Banks, 32, of 408 Penny Royal Lane in Garner, for felony flee to elude, resisting a public officer, driving with a revoked license, reckless driving and felony drug warrants, which is why deputies said they were trying to stop him.
Banks sped, lost control of the vehicle, drove off the road and ended up in a ditch at Glen Road before his arrest, deputies said. He was held on a $117,000 secured bond.
