Site SearchRolesville, N.C. — Rolesville has seen seven home burglaries since late February; a number Police Chief Tim Stoker said is unusually high for the small town.
Three burglaries took place Saturday on Long Melford and Ashbrittle Drive. Earlier burglaries occurred on Misty Willow Way in the Granite Crest subdivision Feb. 26, on Waterstone Lane in the Old Towne subdivision March 16, and on Redford Place and Virginia Water drives in the Village at Rolesville subdivision March 31.
Police said that in all the break-ins, no one was home at the time and no one was injured.
The burglars have always used a back entrance to the home, including unlocked windows and garages, Stoker said.
The police chief said that the thieves also always took flat-screen televisions, which are thinner and easier to carry than older TVs. Other stolen property included iPods, Wii game systems, jewelry and laptops.
