e-mail print friendly

Raleigh police re-opened lanes on Six Forks and Lynn roads Friday morning after a driver crashed at the intersection a few hours earlier.

Authorities did not release any details about the driver's identity or condition. The wreck resulted in utility line and traffic signal damage.

By 5 a.m., one southbound lane of Six Forks Road was reopened to traffic. Both northbound lanes were also open, according to police spokesman Jim Sughrue. All but one lane on Lynn Road re-opened by 8 a.m.

My son works at that CVS and he said there are so many accidents at that intersection.

They would eliminate a lot of wrecks at this intersection if they would put in a dedicated left turn signal from westbound Lynn onto southbound Six Forks.

Well done, Guys! I was expecting it to be a mess when my sister and I had to go through that intersection. Nothing of the sort! Thanks again!
