Raleigh, N.C. — A Raleigh man is wanted after police said he shot into an occupied apartment striking an 11-year-old.
Michael Wayne Hutchison Jr., 20, faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury in connection with the shooting at 201-103 Lightner Lane this past Saturday, police spokesman Jim Sughrue said.
The 11-year-old was asleep in the residence when he was struck in the right arm by the bullet. He was treated at WakeMed for non life-threatening injuries
Hutchison remains at large. He is described as white, 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds. He has the letters “YMG” tattooed on the right side of his neck.
Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Hutchison is asked to contact the Raleigh Police Department’s Detective Division at 919-996-3555 or Crime Stoppers at 919-226-CRIME.
