Weather balloon falls on Angier yard

e-mail print friendly

A National Weather Service balloon fell onto the yard of a Ridge Road home, southeast of Angier, Thursday morning, Johnston County emergency dispatch officials said.

Tammy Ellis, who lives at the house, said the orange balloon resembled a parachute. A note on the end of a string asked anyone who found the balloon to call the local fire department, she said.

Officials said that no one was injured.

THATS WHAT THE NEWS SAID CRASHED IN ROZWELL ANOTHER COVER UP

Why should'nt the fire department be called? I mean their handbook even outlines what to do in case of an Alien attack under the Fire Department Maunual chapter 13.

They are trained for EVERYTHING! :)

What's worse? Complaining about the story or complaining about the complainers?

"So why call the Fire Dept. What does that have to do with a weather balloon? Anyone know?"

The one I found years ago was powered by chemical battery. Now I had enough sense not to eat that battery, but the kids we're bringing up today probably would.

It's still intersting and at least it's not bad news.
