After reading some of these comments, I find it troubling that so much time has been spent on the trival things. Did we get the speed limit right? Did we get the name of the road right where the accident happened? Did we get the terminology right? It seems to me that some people have missed the truth in this story. That a precious life was lost. That hearts have been broken, lives have been shattered, and families are grieving. As a mother, I shudder at the thought of anyone having to lose a child of any age. She was someone very special and I for one will miss her all the days of my life. Take time to love those around you, take time to forgive those who have wronged you. And try to live your life with the least amount of regrets possible and God forbid that anyone should have to feel the emptiness that only loved ones feel when things this horrific happens to a family.

Before you (Death Row, Monkey, CodeBlueEMT) jump to conclusions about whether or not alcohol, speed, or seatbelt usage were factors, maybe you should remember that this was someone's daughter, friend, etc. According to reports (not all on WRAL) neither speed, nor alcohol, were factors. And as far as the seatbelt, you can't automatically assume it wasn't worn - you can still be ejected from a vehicle even when wearing a seatbelt. Please remember before you start jumping to conclusions about something and offering your um, "expert" opinions that this could have been your daughter or family member.

Someone at WRAL needs to brush up on their terminology. Oversteer is a condition caused when the rear tires of a car have less grip than the front tires through manipulation of alignment, spring rate, camber and slip angle.

The proper term is over-correction, not oversteer.

Just my thoughts, but based on the looks of that vehicle post crash, she probably wouldn't have survived that crash whether she was ejected or not.

Unfortunately, not wearing a seatbelt is the reason for this fatality. Being ejected from a vehicle is never a good outcome.
